The Horizontal Rule dialog box enables you to create or modify the horizontal rules. They are often used to divide the Web page into sections and improve the visual look of the page. You can insert simple rules, three dimensional rules, and graphic image rules.

The dialog box contains the following sections:

The Style section gives you the three options for horizontal rules:

Click the option button for the type of Horizontal Rule you want to insert.

In the Alignment section of the dialog box, check and set one of the Alignment radio buttons. This will let you align the graphic image along the Web page. The rule can be Center, Left or Right aligned.

The Width Style section enables you to set the measurement style of your Width setting. Two styles are available:

The Size section contains two Line Width and Line Thickness controls, where you can specify the horizontal rule length and thickness values respectively. The measurement units are pre-selected in the Width Style section.

The Color check box enables you to specify a color of the Horizontal Rule. This check box is available only for Simple and 3D Shade rules. If you check this option, Color selection windows will appear, enabling you to set a custom color. If you do not check it, the rule will have the standard text color. The drop-down list at the top of this section enables you to select a Color Library. You can select a color from that library.

Selecting the Image option in the Style section enables you to select an image for the Horizontal Rule.

The Image section has three tabs:

You can also import any image file by clicking the Import... button. You can create a new image by clicking the Create button. If you chose to create a new image, Graphic Editor window will be opened. Here you can create a new image. You can acquire an image from a data source such as scanner, digital camera, or other device by clicking the Acquire... button to open the Acquire dialog box.

The Advanced... button enables you to perform advanced operations with HTML coding and scripting in the Advanced Web operations dialog box.
